Ksciusko-

this town was named after a Polish fellow who severed in the American Revolution-
i'm sorry i have to do this- i'm posting a link that has info about this guy including name pronunciation- on the ride to Kosciusko i was puzzling over how to pronounce his name because i was sure most of these country folks were mispronouncing the Polish- and i have to pat myself on the back because once i got to the town i found a pronunciation guide and..... i was right! i even came close to the accent, which is funny because i offten put an Italian accent to most foreign words or names i try. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tadeusz_Ko%C5%9Bciuszko

and check him out in this statue, he's a sexy European gent whoa ladies!

and then there's this monument to the civil war soldiers, this statue is really powerful to me, the likeness of that kid and his posture are really compelling, you can feel the pain of the struggle in it. althought the inscription is kind of scary.
