Stayed in a rather eccentric house hold last night after camping with the raccoons along the Trace the night before...
So the raccoons... i pulled into the camp ground at sundown after a long day of riding and checkin' out historical makers- i also met another cross country cyclist and we stopped and chatted and got some much needed rest. but i digress, while setting up camp the coons were all over my bike and investigating my food, little buggers. it was just like what you see in a Disney movie.
so it was just me, the raccoons and the cacophony of night sounds.
i woke up at 5:am and hit the trail- i hit Clinton, a suburb of Jackson by 12:30- was starved!
it took another hour and a half to get into Jackson. Jackson by the way, has shitty roads and a lot of traffic.
i managed to find the coffee shop in the artsy part of town and get a gig at said coffee shop for Saturday night.
Jackson has some pretty cool people, i had breakfast with a friendly Libertarian this morning and met several nice people while busking which made enough to cover breakfast and coffee.
we'll see, i may find another host for this evening or i may be camping in the state park, we'll see what the rain has to say about that....
